Tools for Fellows

The American Coffee House is a virtual meeting place for US-based RSA Fellows and their guests.  This site is about sharing ideas, news and events.  To post a new announcement, please send a camera ready notice to LBroadbent@rsa-us.org.  Comments to existing discussions can be posted direct (but are moderated.)  Announcements must be in keeping with the RSA’s philosophy and goals to promote social progress.  The editor’s decision is final.

Fellows now have access to a greater array of resources than ever before.  RSA Fellowship staff are developing tips and toolkits to help you take full advantage Meanwhile, here is a list of some of the latest ways the RSA is encouraging and supporting Fellows’ activity.

Fellowship directory:  an ‘opt-in’ search directory open to all 27,000 FellowsHave you signed up yet?  Register now on the new Fellowship directory.

Local Networks: click here to see where US networks are active and where we need to plant more network location flags.  Janet Sutter’s recent outreach to California Fellows is a great example of how to get started.

RSA Catalyst: this RSA seed funding initiative helps Fellows get project ideas up and running.  Support can be in the form of a grant or advisory skills.  If you don’t have a project yourself, you can register your skills and offer support to others. Find out more on the RSA website.

RSA Comment: a forum for debate on topical issues relevant to the RSA’s aims and activities. Fellows are invited to submit their own articles or to chime in on current discussions. Visit RSA Comment.

RSA Project blogs: keep up to date with the latest RSA project developments.

Watch Live: you can view selected events from our public lectures program live or later.  This is a great reason to get together with other Fellows – dinner and a movie anyone?

RSA Animate: a fun way to condense the essence of a full RSA lecture into just a few minutes using clever animation.  Look for them here.

Ways you can Help me to Help You: leave a comment on a post or offer to share your skills, coordinate a meeting, lead a focus group, offer space, float a project idea.  The RSA-US board of trustees will take into account all input from Fellows as they develop plans to enhance your fellowship experience in the months and years to come.
