Unmade: Making It!
A global event celebrating the incredible possibilities in creative collaboration.
29 September 2010
07.00 – 09.00 (CDT)
On September 29th we’ll be conducting a global experiment, bringing together participants from the USA, Europe, Australia and Asia. Here’s the challenge:
How it would be if we could each easily contribute to the making of our world, from wherever we might be?
What are the possibilities for live creative exchange, so that an idea might be exchanged around the world, a development encouraged, a discovery explored, a solution found?
Might it be possible to enhance all our creative opportunities, by bringing us together?
The creative arts are a powerful force for development, and for human communication and human exchange. We’ll bring together artists, writers, performers from different parts of the globe, to work together (live!) for 2 hours, creating, discussing, observing, exchanging.
This event – like the alchemist’s crucible — will aim to to be a vessel for development, a chance to create something new and exciting, simply by working together, live through new technologies. This is not an “alternative reality” or “computer generated imagery”. Making It! is live creative human interaction via stream/audio stream, around the world!
We invite everyone to get involved in “Making It!” by logging on to www.unmade.org (07.00 – 09.00 CDT on 29 Sept) and watching the event.
Or feel free to email us any questions you might like to ask the participants – before or during the event, at: makingit@unmade.org.
Looking for to welcoming you to “Making It!”
PS: If you’re interested in getting even more involved, we’d welcome an email about linking in via Skype from your own location on the day/night (our Skype address for the event will be: unmade2010)

Graeme I think there would be great interest from our site members (the RSA site for North of England) if you would like to post it as an event there.
And we have some very creative people on the site who would have something to contribute – by Skype or otherwise.
I saw this and thought of IBM World Jam – which inspired a group of us 4 years ago to begin experimenting with the possibilities of on-line collaboration. There is even a labs area on the site for trying new things out. There is a VCH “Vision” paper on the site that you might find interesting in this regard.
