The British Council, in partnership with the Museum of Science and Industry, invites RSA Fellows to a networking reception to celebrate the culmination of the Transatlantic Network 2020 (TN2020) Chicago Summit.
TN2020 is delighted to call Chicago its home for the 2010 Summit, which examines the theme “the use of technology for positive change,” and looks forward to the new and innovative ideas the city inspires.
We invite you to the Museum of Science and Industry to meet the 115 members of TN2020 at an informal networking event aimed at creating sustainable links between TN2020 and Chicago’s leadership networks.
Three exhibits will remain open during the event.
The courtesy of a response is requested by June 18 to rsvp@us.britishcouncil.org.
The British Council is the UK’s international non-profit organization for cultural relations and educational opportunities. Our flagship program Transatlantic Network 2020 is a network for action which brings together incredibly talented young influencers (roughly 25-35 years of age) from business, civil society, the arts, science and media to revitalise transatlantic and global links for the future. Our members come from over 20 countries, and importantly, reflect the changing demographics, ideologies and dynamics of Europe and North America.
In support of the emerging partnership between the RSA and TN2020, a discussion will be held at the RSA in London and connected to the Chicago summit by video-link. Enlightened enterprise – a Transatlantic Perspective will focus on the importance of transatlantic networks in building an enlightened, enterprising society. This follows on from the recent successful launch of the Fellows’ social entrepreneurs network as well as Matthew Taylor’s speech on June 17 on 21st century enlightenment.
