LiveStream Event
Fellows everywhere are invited and encouraged to watch RSA Chief Executive Matthew Taylor’s annual address, “21st century enlightenment” on June 17, which will be live-streamed from the RSA Great Room.
This is an important event for the RSA signaling its course for the coming years. Matthew will explore what we mean by the idea of 21st century enlightenment and why he thinks the original enlightenment period was not just about new ideas but a more fundamental shift in consciousness. He will discuss whether another such shift is required for us to meet the challenges we face today – such as tackling climate change, achieving human security and dignity on a global scale and promoting human fulfillment and well-being – and the role that can be played by institutions such as the RSA. Those of you who follow Matthew’s blog will have seen elements of the speech taking shape and have perhaps contributed comments and contributions to his wiki along the way.
To contribute questions directly to the event or to debate the implications of Matthew’s talk via Twitter use hashtag #21CE.
The group screenings at AMA New York and DC will not occur as there were not enough responses.
In Chattanooga a group of Fellows will be meeting at Create Here, 55 E Main Street, to view the event livestreamed. All Fellows are welcome to join them.
