In April of this year we will be holding a fund raising evening in the UK and I am looking for prizes that we can auction off to raise money – and this is where you might be able to help!

Do any of you have any ‘special experiences’ that you can offer? I am looking for something that ‘money can’t buy’ – for example one of the experiences we have already arranged is for a ‘flight’ in the Hercules Flight Simulator at RAF Lyneham, another supporter has offered to take a group of people on a major magazines photo-shoot for the day (as observers).

What I am hoping to find are things that don’t actually cost you any money, but you could provide as a prize – I am sure that you may be able to think of something related to the fantastic jobs that you are all now doing.

If you want to know a little bit more about the charity please have a look at http://www.kingschildren.org/ and this video on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KxPqIDc-MM

One of the things that we do try to do is to get sponsors for children. The cost of sponsoring a child is £18 a month. If any of you are interested please do contact me and I can send you some profiles.

We are currently working with over 1500 children, unfortunately the need always outstrips our capacity to help – but enabling children complete education can break the cycle of poverty and helping just one child really does make a difference.

We are currently increasing our medical and educational programme, and building a new outreach facility.

I hope you find this interesting, if you would like to help that would be wonderful!

Many thanks,

Nigel Roberts
