Monica Hale, Susan Steele, elected to the RSA-US Trustee Board

By Barb

At its December 10 Annual Meeting in New York, the RSA-US Board of Trustees elected two new members: Monica Hale and Susan Steele. Their extensive experience and expertise in both the corporate and non-profit arenas will greatly contribute to the the continued development of US programs and Fellowship.

Monica’s professional background is in corporate social responsibility, sustainability and environmental management, including a number of overseas projects in emerging economies.  Her extensive non profit board experience reflects her strong commitment to conservation and ecology.  She moved to Washington DC from London 11 years ago where she was a frequent visitor to the RSA.  Monica states “I would like to see US Fellowship and programs strengthened to further enrich the RSA”.

Susan is a former investment banker turned leadership advisor who helps organizations attract, develop and retain key clients and talent. Over the years her work has taken her to many countries and she has spent many years based in London.  During that time she served two 3-year terms as an RSA trustee and helped to implement organizational and operational strategies that enhanced Fellow engagement opportunities and raised the public profile of the RSA. Susan is excited by the opportunity to bring her insights, energy and desire to “roll up her sleeves” to the RSA-US Trustee Board, the US Fellowship and the broader networks inside and beyond the RSA.
