Belinda Lester, RSA Fellowship Director, is leading the charge to transform RSA into a more active, participatory organization. On her recent US visit with Michael Devlin, head of RSA Networks, she encouraged us to take the lead in organizing local events.
The response is heart-warming. We are all learning what this involves...deciding a topic and form of event, setting a date/time/place, and publishing invitations. It may also involve deciding how to fund and cover costs. Lynn can provide guidance but each FRSA should 'pitch in' to share the load and make things happen.
In New York, we are trying to create a series of events around the theme of sustainability with the first in mid November, followed by a viewing of the documentary 'Age of Stupid' December 1. More shortly when details are finalized.
