Update from The Northeast UK Virtual Coffee House
This is a monthly news update from the northeast UK just letting you know what we have been doing together here. We hope to hear back what you have been up to in the US so that the groups get to know each other better.
Our VCH group after having set this site up have been variously occupied getting on with our working lives and taken a bit of a breather recently.
Because we worked together for over 2 years albeit on a loose informal basis, researching social networks and trying to define and find something that would suit our needs, we really built up a strong bond of friendship.
Whenever we met up to discuss and consolidate on what we were trying to do, it always culminated in sloping off to have dinner together over a couple of glasses of wine. We so enjoyed this that we almost ditched the project in favour of just meeting up!
Well it did come good in the end and we have now scored our first century with just over 100 members and still growing, which is great. Guess how we’ll celebrate? We will be meeting up for a bite to eat together and shall toast you all with yet another couple of glasses of wine!
Let us know how your group is doing, you never know what will emerge from a continuing dialogue.I do wish we could bolt on Skype to the site and have a better dialogue with you guys across the pond.
