Best wishes, Ann Marie
Fingers crossed i can attend! I am based in the Chrysler building, but have not yet been in the city for any of the previous meetings. This may well be the case for this event as I have an appointment tbc in Dallas…
Greg & I will be delighted to join you.
Regards to the team!
Looking forward to this which – as a new fellow – will be my first RSA event. best wishes, Rebecca
Thanks all for the responses, both those shown here and those sent by email. It looks as if we will have a very good turn out as usual in New York.
Please submit here or by email any questions and topics for discussion. Are you hatching a good idea? Tell us what you are trying to do and how the Fellowship can support you. Also, let me know if there is someone you want to introduce to the RSA. This is a good opportunity for them to meet other Fellows and get a snapshot of the RSA’s work.
Look forward to attending this event. I have also invited Laurence Kemball-Cook this years RSA bursary award winner.

Would be delighted to attend.
See you all there!
I’m a UK Fellow and happen to be in NYC on the 17th. If its not an imposition, I would be delighted to meet US colleagues. Many thanks
Dale – thanks for picking this up and it’s great that you can come to the reception. Definitely not an imposition – quite the opposite. It would be great to add your perspective to that of our staff visiting from London. I’m looking forward to meeting you.
Looking forward to regrouping and planning in September 16.
Looking forward to being there!
I will certainly try to get there–the one unknown is whether I can get back from The College of Staten Island in time–hope to see you then. Best, Fairfid M. Caudle
Looking forward to being there. As a Professor at Columbia University in New York in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, I would be interested to learn how RSA can support my efforts of researching/publishing a work on Women In Conflict Resolution, reflecting on gender, diversity, interculturality, conflict, and conflict resolution. Ciao, Pascal
Cecily and Del – it will be great to see you! Look forward to hearing the latest on Science Beyond the Classroom.
Thanks Cecily – look forward to hearing the latest news on Science Beyond the Classroom.
Del – congratulations again on the latest book. See you in New York!
Duncan – look forward to meeting your guest. it will be interesting to hear about his experience as a bursary winner.
Pascal – great topic; thanks for the contribution which should make for a great discussion.
Fairfid – I do hope you can make it. Our meeting is long overdue and it would be good to finally have a face to face!
Looking forward to meeting everyone and learning more about RSA and Fellowships. I have recently started a new online journal, The Mantle, http://www.mantlethought.org. Aside reviews, we publish cultural and political essays and will be publishing our first roundtable this month (it’s on the UN’s responsibility to protect, will be great!).
Thanks and see you soon!
Shaun
Dennis Wint plans to attend
Wow! This is a great response and augurs well for our local RSA-NY community. We are looking for ways to encourage each FRSA ‘to do their thing’….whatever that may be and at the same time create local networks of interest that may transcend geography.
For example, sustainability and climate change is one of my personal areas of interest and I am discovering others outside the NY area interested in the same subject.
Dr. Cecily Selby has led by example in promoting science education. Conflict resolution and the role of women may be another ‘acorn’ for RSA to nurture …and so on.
The key is the passion and leadership of one or two fellows to raise awareness, organize an event and attract others to your cause, including prospective new fellows. This becomes the positive loop that network technology enables and the RSA seeks to create.
Looking forward to meeting you all on Wednesday.
Robin
US Trustee and FRSA
Hello all. As a newly arrived brit in New York I look forward to meeting fellow ‘Fellows’ tomorrow. I have recently taken up the post of HR Director at UNICEF and so my interest areas are global issues affecting children and women. Having originally qualified in geology and hydrology, I am also interested in the impact of climate change on global ecomonics. Also any hints or tips on living in New York also welcome! Christine
I would so much have liked to attend the meeting but will be teaching that evening. However, I continue to research on how issues of sustainability and environmental concerns in the past can continue to be of interest to us today.
I will attend and look forward to this evening’s event.
