Hilary: Thanks for your offer. Maybe we should organize an RSA event to further encourage the application sustainable practices. What about converting roofs to grow plants and carry solar panels? What about an RSA prize for innovation? Or an RSA database for local contractors to access? RSA always focused on pragmatic action.

Perhaps you should also consider showing 'The Age of Stupid'. It will surely provide a great way to get things moving!

Hilary - that's really helpful. Robin and I will be following up to pick your brain as we start putting the fall program together. It might be that we could do something in Pittsburgh - we have a fairly good group of Fellows in the area and it's time!

That's great David - many thanks. Robin and I will be in touch to talk this through. I'm actually in New York this week for the Fellows' event at the Guggenheim.

I'm not in NY, but am Dean of the College of Fine arts at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh - not too far. The College's School of Architecture was ranked first in the country for teaching sustainable architecture to BArch level and also houses the Center for Building Performance and Diagnostics, which researches sustainable building practices. I'd be happy to recommend a speaker!
