It has been nice meeting Fellows at recent networks meetings and hopefully many of you have enjoyed connecting with new people and getting to know the Fellowship a bit better.
The question now is what might the RSA Fellowship network start to do?
When the RSA launched its bold ambition for the Fellowship, we said that we wanted to provide the support for Fellows to come together as a collaborative network for civic innovation. Time has taught us that the RSA has to do some process work in between and create conditions for Fellows to build relationships with each other. So we will continue to facilitate online and offline networking and we hope you will use this online space to share ideas and find each other.
In the UK, a few city networks are now convening regular monthly or quarterly face to face meetings. These are much more than social get-togethers but rather opportunities to convene with colleagues, share updates on various projects and celebrate success stories. Are we ready for the next step? Let’s get something going here!
I look forward to your comments.

As one who lives a couple of hours from NYC, I’m keen with a caveat: meeting dates and times have to make logistical sense. Obvious, but hard to accomplish.
Thanks Jane – don’t assume your local network needs to be Manhattan. Why not get something going in Connecticut? It’s a shame you can’t be at the Beinecke meeting as this could be the kick-off of a New Haven group. Perhaps you can connect virtually with others in your area here on this blog.
Hello: I had no idea that when I entered my name
for an invitation to the event at the University Club that I had entered a blog site. I have so much to learn about cyber space!
Blogging reminds me of the days when I taught on line years ago and there were many who enjoyed the seeming anonymity of writing on line wihout ever having to be involved in a person to person dialogue.
I feel that blogging is a wonderful medium but can it really replace the personalized dialogue? It is, ultimately a way of keeping in touch and although I very much enjoyed attending coffee house challenge meeting in London, blogging for me will be the next best thing and I shall endeavour to participate, be it on themes relating to the RSA manifesto or other related themes that will be discussed from time to time.
An idea for the future? A blog discussion centred on the archival material held at the House and its relevance to the new manifesto, initiated by the archive historian.
Happy blogging everyone.

Lorella – this is the place to test the waters and see if blogging is for you! I see this as more of a notice board and a clearing house for ideas, such as the excellent suggestion you make about the RSA manifesto. No navel-gazing or updates on what you had for breakfast here! And certainly not a way to avoid person-to-person dialogue, but hopefully a way to supplement and enhance it.
Your discussion idea will go up as a post under its own heading and we’ll invite the archivists – and all others interested in this – to join in.
