Twenty New England Fellows and guests met at Ron Fleming’s Bellevue House in Newport, RI, on April 24. Ron has been a Fellow of the RSA for 22 years and is the founder and president of The Townscape Institute, a not-for-profit public interest planning organization. Townscape supports place meaning through conservation and visual enhancement of the built environments, including research publications, public art projects, and urban design. Ron welcomes future meetings at Bellevue.
The event was coordinated by Arthur and Cele Mark of Narragansett with support from RSA-US trustees Robin Thompson and Carole Franco.
New England Fellows will also meet at the residence of Phil Budden, FRSA, British Consul General in Boston, in the fall. Details to be announced.
